Plantronics M50 vs M55

The Plantronics M55 is considered to be a budget headset that comes with a selection of features that are handy and well designed. One of the most notable features is the deep sleep mode which allows the Plantronics M55 to stay active for up to 5 months without the need to be charged in between. This deep sleep mode comes into affect when the device has not been used for more than 90 minutes. It can then quickly be reactivated and will carry on working like normal. Another great feature of the Plantronics M55 is the voice commands which allow for options to be selected without the use of hands. The Plantronics M55 is well designed and has an earpiece that will stay comfortable for long periods of time. One of the problems that customers often comment on is that the device is quite small and can be difficult to use. Some users also report a problem with the earpiece in that it can fall out easily during use.

The Plantronics M50 Bluetooth headset is a similar design to the M55. It also has a good sense of design and is easy to setup and maintain. As with the M55 this device has very good battery life, however, it does not include the deep sleep mode which can be useful for those that need to travel long distances and may forget the charger. Some users have also commented that the Plantronics M50 has issues with range when connected to certain models of phone.

Both the M50 and M55 Plantronics Bluetooth headsets have a range of features and are well-designed throughout. One of the best features being the noise reduction. However, The Plantronics M55 does contain some features which may be more desirable than the M50, including the deep sleep mode and the voice commands which can be used to activate certain features within the M55. The problem with the M55 is that there is no way to adjust the headset to fit each individual.
